Travel Resources

Whether you’re planning your first trip or your fiftieth, these are the tools, companies, and resources I use to make travel easier, more affordable, and unforgettable.
I only recommend products that I personally love and use.
Accommodations
- Booking.com – My go-to for finding cozy guesthouses, hotels, and unique stays almost anywhere. Booking.com is one of my go-to accommodation resources because I can filter my search and check reviews of the places I want to stay, making it an easy process to find the perfect place for me.
- Vrbo – Great for feeling like a local and finding hidden gems in nature or city hubs. Vrbo is worldwide, and there are so many unique stays. I love this platform because I can feel cozy in a stay that feels like an everyday home, or I can pick places like a tree house or an old train car.
- Hostelworld – Affordable and fun stays around the world. If you have some concerns about Hostels, that is understandable. Television shows and movies in the past have made hostels look spooky, BUT I am here to say that is false. I actually really enjoy staying at hostels! They’re affordable and are a great way for young travelers, couples, friends, and even families to meet incredible people. I stayed at a hostel in Interlaken, Switzerland, and met incredible people from all over the world. There were a few of us who planned a day trip and traveled together.
Flights
- Google Flights – I love using Google Flights to find the cheapest flight options across multiple airlines. I use Google Flights every time I need to book a flight. It’s easy to set up flight alerts for each of your flights so you can get a notification when the price drops, aka, saving you money!
- CheapOair – Great for finding cheap flights for long or short durations. Another great website to find cheap flights across multiple airlines, making it easy to book and filter through what flight is best for you.
Rental Cars
- Rentalcars.com – Affordable rental cars around the world.
Tours & Activities
- GetYourGuide – This is my favorite platform for booking tours/activities. GetYourGuide allows you to choose the destination, filter through specific types of activities, and read reviews. I’ve used this platform in Washington State, Switzerland, Norway, and Croatia. Some of my fondest memories of my trips have been from this platform.
- Viator – I use Viator along with GetYourGuide for planning trips. I check both of the platforms before booking because some of the activities I want to do might not be on one of the platforms. I’ve had great success with using Viator, and like GetYourGuide, some of the best memories have been from this platform.
- TripAdvisor – Another great platform for looking up restaurants, hikes, activities, and everything in between.
